Mr. Michael Pipkins, Vice President - Worldwide Operations

Mr. Michael Pipkins brings over 25 years of experience in the industrial and offshore industries to IDEEA. He has effectively applied his background in electrical, electronics, and computer science to affect significant improvements in build strategies and fabrication process.

Mr. Pipkins’ unmatched ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues is derived directly from his involvement in over 40 projects that have included upgrades, refurbishments, and newbuild projects. His newbuild project experience includes various types of semi-submersibles as well as 5th, 6th, and 7th generation drillships, tankers, E-Tug and various naval vessels.

Mr. Pipkins’ has additional experience in the form of installations and upgrades to industrial, petrochemical, Port Authority, and power complexes. His contribution to these projects ranged from conceptual design, construction, installation, and acceptance on behalf of the owner. This experience complements an already comprehensive background.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Pipkins has held positions as a Lead Designer, Electrical Superintendent, Commissioning Manager, Commissioning Engineer, Project Engineer, Company Representative, and Operations Manager. His vast project experience ensures a quantifiable value in today’s sophisticated schedule-driven projects.

Mr. Michael Gautier, Vice President Newbuild Development and Delivery

Mr. Michael Gautier is a Project Manager with over 25 years of construction experience in the upstream drilling and downstream petrochemical industries. In his career, Mr. Gautier has overseen more than 35 drilling-related projects that have included upgrades, refurbishments, and newbuilds.

Historically, Mr. Gautier has been dedicated to construction project oversight as it relates to the installation, commissioning, system integration, testing, and acceptance of a wide variety of complex equipment and drilling systems. More recently however, Mr. Gautier has applied his skill set to the drilling rig equipment and corollary systems of 5th and 6th generation semi-submersibles and drillships. His efforts on these projects have ensured that these units were accepted by his clients at their greatest level of functionality and fitness-for-purpose.

In addition, Mr. Gautier’s resume is strongly complemented with significant downstream experience. Here, his involvement has included the management and oversight of industrial projects - specifically, system installations and upgrades to refinery and petrochemical complexes.
